Affirmday is a local-first daily affirmation app. We take your privacy seriously and have built the app to collect as little data as possible. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
Affirmday is designed to work locally on your device. The following describes the limited categories of information involved when you use the app.
- App preferences and settings — such as selected focus areas, reminder times, theme preferences, and breathing guide toggles — are stored locally on your device using SwiftData and iOS system storage.
- Favorites and streak data are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to any external server.
- If you purchase a subscription or in-app purchase, Apple processes the transaction through the App Store. We receive only anonymized, aggregated purchase receipts from Apple's StoreKit framework and do not receive your payment details.
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials, as Affirmday does not require an account to use.
- We do not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, location, or health data.
How We Use Information
Information stored locally on your device is used solely to provide the app's core features: personalizing your affirmation deck, tracking your daily practice streak, and saving your favorite affirmations. None of this information is sent to us or any third party.

- Display and maintain your practice streak.
- Save and surface your favorited affirmations.
- Deliver local notifications for daily reminders if you have opted in.
- Process subscription purchases through Apple's App Store infrastructure.
Product And Technical Data
Affirmday does not currently integrate third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before the update ships and you will be notified through an updated app release.
How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
The only external data handling that occurs is through Apple's App Store and StoreKit when you complete a purchase. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
Data Retention
Because Affirmday stores all user data locally on your device, you control your data entirely. Deleting the app removes all locally stored preferences, favorites, and streak data. We do not retain copies of this data on any server.
Your Choices
You have full control over the data stored by Affirmday.
- Reminders: You may enable or disable local daily reminder notifications at any time in the app's Settings tab or through your iOS Settings.
- Favorites and streak: You may clear your favorites or reset your streak from within the app's Settings tab.
- Subscriptions: You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings on your device.
- Data deletion: Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
Affirmday is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
