These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Cadence app operated by Cadence Running. By downloading or using Cadence you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Use Of The Service

Cadence provides GPS run tracking, adaptive training plans, and coaching insights powered by Apple HealthKit data. The app is intended for general fitness purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning a new exercise programme, particularly if you have an existing medical condition.

Accounts And Eligibility

Cadence does not currently require you to create a user account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. By using Cadence you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for all activity that occurs through your use of the app.

Subscriptions And Billing

Certain features of Cadence are available only with an active paid subscription. Subscriptions are offered on terms displayed at the point of purchase within the app.

  • Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store via StoreKit. All billing is handled by Apple and subject to Apple's terms of sale.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • To cancel, visit your App Store subscription settings on your device.
  • Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy. Cadence Running does not control or process refunds.
  • Prices may change with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Cadence only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
  • Use the app to transmit harmful, abusive, or unlawful content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our backend systems or servers.
  • Interfere with the app's functionality or circumvent any technical restrictions.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or redistribute content generated by the app.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, software, trademarks, and materials within Cadence are owned by or licensed to Cadence Running. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the app as intended.

Your run data, routes, and personal records remain yours. By syncing data to our backend you grant Cadence Running a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the service to you.

Disclaimers

Cadence is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular training outcome will be achieved.

GPS accuracy, heart rate readings, and health metrics depend on your device hardware and environmental conditions. Cadence Running makes no representations about the accuracy of any sensor or health data.

Training guidance provided by the app is algorithmic and is not a substitute for professional coaching or medical advice.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cadence Running and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app, including but not limited to personal injury, loss of data, or training-related harm.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Cadence shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Cadence at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — shall survive.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of Cadence after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
