These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Northstar tracker (the "App"), provided by Lionel Emmerich ("we", "us", or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the App.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Use Of The Service

Northstar tracker is a personal savings goal tracking application. You may use the App to log savings goals, record deposits, and monitor your progress. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

The App does not connect to your bank account, does not move real money, and does not provide financial advice. All monetary figures you enter are self-reported and for tracking purposes only.

Accounts And Eligibility

Northstar tracker does not currently require you to create a user account. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and for any activity that occurs through your use of the App.

Subscriptions And Billing

Northstar tracker offers an optional paid subscription called Northstar Pro, which unlocks additional features including unlimited goals, smart projections, custom themes, and shareable milestone cards.

Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis. A free trial may be available. Subscriptions are processed and managed by Apple through the App Store. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's applicable terms.

  • Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. Refund requests should be directed to Apple.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
  • Using the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the App's servers, backend, or related systems.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or its infrastructure.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, animations, and code within the App are the intellectual property of Lionel Emmerich or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the App beyond a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal device in accordance with these Terms.

Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Northstar tracker is a goal-tracking tool only. We make no representations regarding the accuracy of projections or whether you will achieve your financial goals. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice.

Limitation Of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LIONEL EMMERICH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID, IF ANY, FOR ACCESS TO THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other legitimate operational reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, and Limitation of Liability) will continue to apply.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and may notify you through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
