Tempo ADHD Coach ('Tempo', 'we', 'us', or 'our') is a conversational AI coaching app designed for adults with ADHD. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Tempo you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to deliver and improve the Tempo experience. This falls into two categories: information you provide directly and information generated automatically as you use the app.

  • Check-in data: mood, energy, and focus slider values you submit during daily check-ins.
  • Conversation content: messages you send to the Coach Chat feature.
  • Task content: task descriptions and subtask lists you create or generate.
  • Habit and medication logs: names and daily completion records you enter.
  • Subscription and purchase information: transaction receipts processed by Apple's StoreKit and relayed through our backend.
  • Technical identifiers: anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers used to route data to your account on our backend.
  • Device and usage data: app version, OS version, and basic usage signals needed to operate the service.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide, maintain, and improve Tempo. We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.

  • Deliver AI-generated reflections, micro-actions, task breakdowns, and weekly insight summaries.
  • Route your Coach Chat messages to the Groq API to generate conversational responses.
  • Store your check-in history and habit logs so you can view trends over time.
  • Process and validate your subscription through StoreKit and our Supabase backend.
  • Diagnose technical issues and improve app reliability.

Product And Technical Data

Tempo uses Supabase as its backend infrastructure to store your check-in records, conversation threads, tasks, and habit logs. Communication with Supabase is encrypted in transit.

Your Coach Chat messages are sent to the Groq API (using the model openai/gpt-oss-120b) to generate responses. Messages sent to Groq are governed by Groq's own terms of service and privacy policy. We recommend reviewing those policies at groq.com.

Subscription receipts are handled by Apple's StoreKit framework and validated through our Supabase backend. We do not store full payment card details.

How We Share Information

We share your information only in the limited circumstances described below. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

  • Groq API: your Coach Chat messages are transmitted to Groq to generate AI responses.
  • Supabase: your data is stored and served through Supabase infrastructure.
  • Apple / StoreKit: purchase and subscription receipts are processed by Apple.
  • Legal compliance: we may disclose information if required by applicable law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
  • Business transfers: if the business is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the successor entity subject to equivalent privacy commitments.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you wish to request deletion of your data, please contact us using the email address in the Contact section below and we will process your request in a reasonable timeframe.

Note: because Tempo does not currently offer in-app account deletion, deletion requests must be submitted by email.

Your Choices

You can stop providing data at any time by ceasing use of the app. You may also contact us to request access to or deletion of data associated with your use of Tempo.

  • Notifications: you can disable local reminders at any time through iOS Settings.
  • Data deletion: email us at lioemmerich@gmail.com to request deletion of your stored data.
  • Subscription management: manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings.

Children's Privacy

Tempo is designed for adults and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
