Terms of Service

Tempo is a general-wellness and productivity application intended to support adults in managing daily tasks, habits, and focus. It is not a medical device, clinical tool, or substitute for professional mental health treatment, therapy, or medical advice. Nothing in Tempo constitutes a diagnosis or treatment recommendation.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or require clinical support, please contact a qualified healthcare professional or emergency service.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Tempo. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

Tempo currently operates without a formal user account system. Data is associated with your device and our backend infrastructure. You are responsible for maintaining access to the device on which Tempo is installed.

Certain features of Tempo are available only through a paid subscription. Subscriptions are offered as auto-renewing purchases processed by Apple through the App Store. By purchasing a subscription you agree to Apple's payment terms.

Subscription fees are billed at the interval displayed at the time of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

To cancel your subscription, go to your Apple ID account settings in the App Store. We do not issue refunds for partial subscription periods except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.

You agree to use Tempo only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

All software, design, content, and AI-generated outputs within Tempo are the property of Lionel Emmerich or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal purposes. This license does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, or sublicense any part of the Service.

Content you enter into the app (check-in data, chat messages, task text) remains yours. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your individual circumstances. AI-generated reflections, task suggestions, and insights are informational only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LIONEL EMMERICH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability) will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the app or by other means.
